Methodist Church Service

Today, we were honored to be the featured performers for the Christ United Methodist Church service. We performed three pieces: Air from Handel's Water Music Suite, Coventry Carol, and Ave Maria by Schubert. It was a pleasure to play for a full congregation of enthusiastic parishioners. We were reminded of the goodness of people of all faiths. We felt united by the wish of all people for peace, hope, and love in this world.

We were invited by Ed Duncan, the church organist, who taught AP Physics to violinist Meili Bell for 3 formative years at Cottonwood High School. Fellow Cottonwood Colt and regular Strings of Elegance sub, Brittany Gardener, took Anna's place on the cello for this special event.

Chapel Wedding Ceremony

This traditional ceremony was a perfect representation of a classic chapel wedding at the White Memorial Chapel in SLC
We played prelude music as guests were being seated, Canon in D for the wedding line, Bridal Chorus for the bridal procession, and Wedding March for the recessional following the ceremony.
Congratulations Michelle & Jake!

Pentecost Sunday

Today we played for a celebratory service at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepard in Ogden for Pentecost Sunday. At different points in the program, we were joined by an organist, trumpeter, full choir, and soprano soloist!

We prepared two special selections for the service. After rehearsing for an hour with the choir, we were ready to begin.

We made a new friend. Glori has an extraordinary soprano voice.

Afterwards, we joined the congregation for a "grand fiesta" celebration.
