Park City Destination Wedding

We love playing in the our beautiful Utah mountains during late summer! For Lauren and Will’s destination wedding, we played exclusively contemporary music.

PROCESSIONAL: Your Song, Elton John

BRIDE PROCESSIONAL: Home, Edward Sharpe & Magnetic Zeros

RECESSIONAL: Don’t Stop Believin’, Journey

We covered 3 hours of string quartet music, including welcome music, ceremony, and cocktail hour.

Sarah & Jason

With stunning flower arrangements accompanied by classy string quartet music, we played Andrea Bocelli’s Con te Patiro for the wedding processional and Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling in Love for the bride’s walk down this exquisite aisle. After they were pronounced husband and wife and introduced as Mr. & Mrs., we played 500 Miles by the Proclaimers as guests cheered during their recessional. We then moved to the upper terrace of the beautiful St. Regis and serenaded friends and family during the cocktail hour. We were told the brides mother loves Elton John so we made sure to play Your Song for her. Congratulations to Sarah and Jason!

La Caille Ceremony & Cocktails

La Caille is a special place, an oasis of beauty surrounded by brick paths filled with vibrant colored flowering plants. The mother of the bride was so warm and friendly when we arrived, the bride told us after we finished playing that it was her mother’s most important thing to have a string quartet play for her daughters wedding and we felt honored to fulfill that dream of hers! They requested all classical music for prelude, postlude and cocktail hour. For the processionals we played Air on G String for the wedding party, Canon in D for the Bride and Jesu Joy of Man’s Desire for their recessional. A very classy elegant event. Congratulations to Lily and her groom!

River Bottoms Ranch

It’s a gorgeous day for a wedding at a truly stunning location. The only thing keeping the day from perfection was the merciless wind. But never fear! Our trusty clothes pins held our music in place and we stood on the bases of our music stands to keep them upright! Wedding line processional: Can’t Help Falling in Love, Bride’s processional: Canon in D, Special request for the recessional: Green Light by Lorde.

Wedding Ceremony & Cocktail Hour

We opened our 2019 wedding season this March at Snowbasin Mountain Resort. In our 17 years playing for weddings, we had never before seen Twister during the cocktail hour, along with other party games like corn hole and giant Jenga. Another first was performing the Star Wars Theme by special request for the recessional. Wedding guests cheered when they heard this in celebration of the new Mr. & Mrs! On top of all those firsts, the groom had bright blue hair. We appreciated how unique and memorably fun this wedding was! Best wishes Nicole and Patrick!

For this lovely indoor ceremony, we played Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring for the wedding party processional. By special request, we played Adele’s To Make You Feel My Love for the brides procession. Afterward, we moved outdoors to provide popular music for the cocktail hour.

This was no ordinary cocktail hour. The couple had an ice sculpture distributing two specific drinks named after each of them! Guests would pick which they wanted and it would be poured through the ice into their glass. Over the last 16 years of playing for 100’s of weddings together, this was a new first for us! The picture doesn’t really do it justice. We were mesmerized by the creative work of art formed by frozen water!

Above the Heat at Alta Lodge

Alta Lodge is nestled at the top of the mountains with a beautiful, green and blue mountain backdrop. This July day was downright balmy with thick clouds and a slight breeze. But the weather held out perfectly for the outdoor wedding ceremony on the deck.

For the ceremony, the happy couple requested:
Canon in D – Pachelbel,
Jesu, Joy of Mans Desiring - Bach
Here Comes the Sun – Beatles

When Tim saw his bride, his eyes got a little wet. Then, during the ceremony, Morgan laugh/cried as she looked at him and they happy cried together. Morgan and Tim lit their candles, and together lit the unity candle, with the help of their brothers as wind shields.

The wedding party went inside for cozy cocktails just as we started to feel the chilly temps. We accompanied cocktails and dinner in the dining room. Some selections were:

Can’t Help Falling In Love with You – Elvis Presley
Oh Happy Day - Hawkins
The Rose – McBroom
Bittersweet Symphony – Mick Jagger
When I’m 64 – Beatles
Viva La Vida – Coldpllay
As Time Goes By - Hupfeld
You Raise Me Up – Josh Groban
Hallelujah – Cohen
Don’t Stop Believin’ – Journey
Wouldn’t It Be Nice – Beach Boys
Sweet Home Alabama – Van Zant, King, Rossington
Paradise – Coldplay
Vocalise - Rachmaninoff
Surely the Presence of the Lord is in This Place – Wolfe

Snow Basin Wedding Ceremony and Cocktail Hour

Our Bride requested "All of Me" by John Legend for the wedding line processional and "All You Need is Love" by The Beatles for the recessional. It is with requests like these that keep each wedding ceremony we play for unique and exciting!
During the cocktail hour, while the new Mr. and Mrs. took pictures, we played a combination of both classical and contemporary music.
On our way out we couldn't help but take advantage of the fun picture opportunities!

Evelyn and Kevin

We performed for a ceremony and cocktail hour at a private residence tucked away in the woods in Park City. The setting was stunning for a wedding. The forest was so peaceful and beautiful and the bride and groom invited just a small group of family and friends which created a really sweet ceremony.

This couple was so in love. The officiant mentioned a few times that it was meant for them to be together and by their interactions it truely seemed so.
We added a new song to our repertoire at the request of this adorable couple. We now play Ed Sheeran's "Thinking out Loud." Such a fun piece to play and so fitting for a wedding!

Kristin and Rory

Kristin and Rory chose the Empire Lodge in Deer Valley as their location to tie the knot. Stunning setting, stunning bride, stunning groom!
Empire Canyon Lodge, Deer Valley

The guests were seated on the lawn where they waited in anticipation of the ceremony. We finished up our traditional prelude music and started Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring as the groom, the parents of the bride and groom, and the groomsmen made their way down the aisle. We transitioned to Coldplay's Viva la Vida for the bridesmaids (fun choice Kristin and Rory!). Next, for the bride's grand entrance, we played Canon in D. You can't go wrong with Canon in D... It just sets the stage.

After a very sweet, very loving ceremony we welcomed the new Mr. and Mrs. back down the aisle to the tune of Marry You by Bruno Mars (a very popular piece this summer).

Strings of Elegance
Following the ceremony we played during the cocktail hour out on the deck. We played a mix of popular pieces, some classical and even a few Irish pieces in honor of the Groom, who is Irish.

Thanks to Kristin and Rory for including us in your special day.
